Taken over the premises of the former Little Chef at the roundabout just outside Chipping Norton, and tastefully redecorated it in pale green. Efficient waitress service and good selection of drinks available including decaffeinated coffee and tea. Selection of sandwiches paninis etc plus full meals priced at restaurant prices, but freshly made with fresh produce. I didn't want anything as filling as sandwiches, and although the selection of home made cakes looked tempting, chose the chicken and bacon salad. This was listed as a starter, but was adequate for lunch. The salad was dressed with a vinaigrette style dressing making it moist enough to cover the drier grilled and sliced chicken fillet and lean bacon.
The ambiance was pleasant and tables available in a variety of sizes. There's an area of decking for nice weather, although I suspect it could get rather noisy and fumey. Ma Larkins is open during the day and for private bookings in the evenings.
